On Friday January 18th, I had the pleasure of attending Vancouver’s KnowShow at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It was a great experience, as I had never been to a trade show before. This event is a bi-annual trade show targeting Canada’s top lifestyle, fashion, action and sports retailers and brands. It was a relaxed environment but with a business aesthetic as buying meetings were happening all around. Wonderful brands in the midst of selling, sneak peeks at next year’s fashion, lifestyle and sports apparel, and of course, very friendly people milling about. With Vancouver’s scenic mountains, beautiful blue oceans and lush green forestry, there is no doubt this city has a lot to offer. I haven’t really experienced it the way I wanted to, so the night of attending the trade show, I was inclined to purchase a snowboard/ski apparel outfit and experienced the slopes this following weekend. I felt so inspired and proud of my city from attending the KnowShow that I had to get out there and be apart of the action.
Vancouver has so much to offer, and there is no doubt why it is one of the most amazing city’s around. The attendees at the KnowShow were not only avidly working hard, but they impressed with their style too, a mix of hipster-meets-downtown core, city vibe was portrayed, hats, hats, hats are all the rage right now and colour is coming into full force. We are experiencing some sunny days this past month, so it is slowly time to bring out your colourful peices and working them into your warm winter attire. Thank you KnowShow for showing me what the WestCoast has to offer, I really appreciate you.
Photos from the trade show coming soon,
and a few snaps from my weekend on the mountain. Have a great and productive Tuesday everyone xox
