Here is the long awaited coverage from my experience at Vancouver Fashion Week on Saturday night for day 4 of their shows. I had an amazing time, the media set-up was perfect, great coverage, views, and was able to catch some backstage interviews happening.
The designer Nova Chiu went with colourful prints and patterned adorned in purples, pinks, yellows, blues and velvet textures. She had geometric patterns on her designs. Very unique, colourful and original themes were set throughout her collection. Few photographs below, c/o Van Fashion Week, some taken myself.
The pinks and reds create the colour-blocking trend for Fall/Winter 2014.
Very intricate details were displayed in Nova Chiu’s designs.
The next designer Linda Sipila cultivated her collection with a mod-like 60’s appeal, blacks and whites were used mostly throughout. Black capes were the over piece garment, and sheath-like dresses with multicolours such as pinks and deep oranges and corals. Her line was filled with some casual pieces creating a versatile appeal.
mod-like appeal, versatile neutrals with black accents.
floral multi-colours.
orange sheath-like dresses.
orange-toned, coral pant suits create a fun way to work in the office.
black suits are ever so versatile.
The next designer Lila Nova from Greece, had amazing prom-like dresses in her collection. She used gorgeous blues, the colours of the Grecian waters, (inspiration perhaps?) and creamy whites. She had flowy, sheath-like dresses, some with poofed out skirts, and some that went straight down. She used a multitude of shimmer, sparkle and great cuts. I especially enjoyed her line.
great ensemble, poofed-out skirt and jacket really complements each other.
gorgeous dress for a prom or wedding.
gorgeous blues used here, and beautiful shimmer accents.
the perfect party dress.
prom-like innocence, or a great wedding dress.
gorgeous designer in red.
Thank you Vancouver Fashion Week, was a great night filled with beautiful, intricately designed collections.
