Creating An Edgy Summer Look | For Less

This summer I want to spice up my wardrobe and what better way to start than with a few edgier pieces to add to my closet? I have compiled a look for less that I love because of it’s vibrant accessories but toned-down clothing pieces. It’s sometimes hard for me to create a look with brighter pieces but now that summer is approaching I think it’s time to slowly put away the darker hues and play with my brighter side. If you’re like me and you feel like its a huge transition from wearing your blacks, whites, greys, creams transitioned to yellows, reds, greens and cobalt blues, than don’t worry because you can start out small and work your way into a brighter look for summer 😉

If you want a statement in your outfit because you’re feeling that it’s too monochrome with blacks and greys than make your statement piece a smaller investment in your overall look by choosing a brighter bag or pair of shoes. This creates a pop in your outfit and arranges a look that’s a bit more playful and in tone with the summer season (pun intended.)

I created this said brighter look by using pieces all from an amazing website called Romwe, if you have heard of it I hope you check it out soon because they’re adding even more great pieces to their selection. You don’t have to spend too much to look like you stepped out of a fashion magazine. The bag is a look-a-like Chloe represented in a gorgeous muted yellow hue and the shoes are a staple in my opinion, as the classic pointed-toe look gives this outfit an added elegance with its ripped denim and elephant designed crop top (how cute!) pieces.
A girl always needs a jacket even for the summer because you never know when the clouds are going to start rolling in (especially in Vancouver with our knowingly unpredictable rainy weather) so choosing a sleek leather jacket from Romwe can really establish an edgy but classic look.
