Spring Shorts with American Eagle

I’m all about wearing shorts in the summer and I was very excited to style a gorgeous pair from American Eagle. I can’t wait for the summer (and I’m sure I’m not the only one!) so to start thinking about spring/summer ensembles it’s very exciting! I love bohemian looks for the warmer seasons, I feel it just really works, you know you’ve got the beach, sand, surf — it all makes sense. I’m also obsessed with the fact that suede and fringe has made yet another comeback this season, as seen from last season’s post with American Eagles suede skirt here, I’m all about it. Pairing suede in a modern look can be quite difficult because you don’t want to appear like you’ve stepped out of Studio 54, that’s why choosing a piece that’s minimal is a great start. I love this Suede Shawl from American Eagle, the perforated appearance is gorgeous, it’s also super comfy (as suede always is!) and is great for adding a bit more oomph to your look. To make the shorts and the suede shawl work together, it’s always important to add a neutral to your ensemble.
