I’m sharing a little photo diary of my experience staying at the Pacific Sands resort in Tofino, BC a few weeks ago. These photos taken on the beach are of Cox Bay, which you can view right from your window, amazing hey? The waves get really big here so its a great spot for avid surfers alike and if you’re not the surfer type, you can take a relaxing stroll along the tide too, also not going to lie, the backdrop makes for perfect photos so if you want to take your family, friends for an impromptu shoot I highly recommend it.
The rooms in the Pacific Sands resort beach house (you can choose between getting a cosier hotel suite or a beach house) are huge and offer wide windows for beautiful views of the sun and surf. Take your breakfast out on the porch and eat with the sounds of the ocean, pretty amazing experience.
If you ever get the chance to go surfing in Tofino (and really, you have to, it’s the place to do it) I recommend going with the Surf Sister, they have the coolest crew, everyone is so warm and friendly and very patient for those less akin to the art of surfing (aka me). Thanks, Krissy for the wicked lesson! Ps. Isn’t their ‘surf shack’ awesome?

BC is so lovely! There is something special about going to the beach in BC in the middle of winter. It is always too cold for me to get into the water, I cannot imagine surf lessons – brrrr.

It is amazing the different levels of comfort one can have in travel. You adventure would be great but our budget does not always allow for a place this nice then, most of the place we visit do not have them anyway. We will be returning to the U.S. next year and plan a trip up the west coast of Canada to Alaska. This would be a great stop over point.

The Pacific Sands resort seems very relaxing! You looked very relaxed. Being any beach resort is relaxing. We just spent some time in the French Riviera with our children and it was even relaxing just sitting there watching our kids play in the sand and in the water.

Lovely shots! I love that it looks very much like you’re in a cabin in the woods but you are actually overlooking the seaside – so cool!
