I’m so excited about this post because I love taking photos when I’m traveling and on the road. It was a magical stop along the way that was very unexpected on the way to Tofino.
Along the Pacific Him highway (Highway 4) there is a quaint ‘bridge-like’ gate that resembles the ‘love locks bridge’ in Paris, France. This isn’t something we read about before making the journey to the island so you can imagine it was a welcomed surprise. I thought this was such a cute touch, I mean who knew there were so many romantics along the way throughout Vancouver island?
Basically, if you haven’t heard of this bridge it’s supposed to resemble the love you share with your significant others or friends. I think it’s a very sweet sentiment (and to be honest I’m not very romantic haha.)
The other great aspect about making this stop was how beautiful the roaring rivers below us were, this particular river is called the Ellis river for anyone who wants to check it out. In my opinion, there’s honestly no better view than of the majestic mountains above with snow-capped tips. Add some bright blue fresh water from said mountains and of course the lush greenery around too.
What better pair of boots to accompany this fun little adventure as none other than my Sorel boots. I have always wanted a pair of these because I love the tan colour. They make your casual outfit pop. And if you’re like me who tends to gravitate towards an all-black look. These are a great way to liven up your #ootd! Not to mention, these beauties are extremely comfortable. There’s actually soft plushy fabric on the outside and inside of the boot. They also have grips for the times when you’re needing a bit of balance trying to maneuver on mountains. Legit no joke, not as easy as it seems.
Have you been to Tofino? If so, have you checked out the love lock bridge?
