I’m not going to lie, I’ve always seemed to have a hard time with layering, I don’t know why either because lately my layered looks I’m actually quite fond of, like this post with my little black dress layered here. It’s hard to tell what you should wear during spring because it can be really warm and up to the mid-twenties (about 70s Fahrenheit) but the next day it could also drop down to a much cooler temp. With the unpredictable weather, I typically opt for jackets and scarves, but lately I’ve tried to step outside of my comfort zone with my looks and go for something I wouldn’t necessarily gravitate towards. Enter, this grey sweatshirt which in my opinion is as casual as you can get, paired with a white dress shirt underneath and boyfriend jeans, because this look is a bit more baggy, I wanted to par it down with sleek heels and a tiny purse to offset the bigger pieces.
It’s all about compostion, and knowing how to dress for your body, like I said, boyfriend jeans are something I always wear but I usually pair them with a sleeker top to contrast the baggy bottoms, this time I took a chance and went for a baggier look overall. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out and I was definitely cosy for a cooler spring’s day. What pieces do you work into your wardrobe for colder days? Let me know in the comments below!
