I recently attended one of Vancouver’s fanciest events, The Deighton Cup this past weekend and I had a blast. The Deighton Cup is all about betting on horses and popping champagne, perfect for getting in the spirit of the good ol’ southern charm.
So, what does one wear to this type of event? I wore a beautifully customized fascinator from Pilar Rodriguez Designs. She makes the most stunning, intricate pieces and I highly recommend getting one for the next time you attend a horse race of this stature. The fascinator was just gorgeous, it had handsewn beading on it and was the perfect match to my two piece lace set I wore.
The two piece set was really a combination of what I already owned, that’s the beauty in attending these kinds of events, you can let your creative side out to play and change up what you would regularly wear and go all out.
