I had a wonderful experience getting a facial at the wellbeing clinic in Vancouver a few weeks ago. I can’t tell you the last time I received a facial and let me tell you, that’s going to be the last time I go so long without having one. Derma Bright Clinic is located in Vancouver and offers a multitude of services, including some specialty services with a strong focus on anti-aging and acne. Since I am still quite young (I recently celebrated my 23rd birthday, blog post here) I wanted to focus on the acne portion of their services.
There are a variety of acne treatments you can get done, starting from basic to platinum packages. What I had done was a facial, I got my whiteheads removed (sorry TMI) and it was honestly such a cool experience. I never realized how many whiteheads I had, but it makes sense cause I wear makeup everyday and the makeup tends to build up over time. After having my whiteheads removed, I got the problem areas zapped, it didn’t hurt, but you knew something was definitely happening. After getting the problem areas worked on, my esthetician rubbed oil all over my face multiple times to take off the dead skin (again, sorry if this is grossing you out) and it was amazing how many layers of dead skin I had. Yes, quite a gross concept but seriously cool if you think about it and if you realize that there are some great ways to removing it with non-invasive technology. After that, I got to try out the LED Light for about 20-30 minutes, it felt so relaxing, I honestly could have so easily fallen asleep. And no, it doesn’t hurt, I already asked, it feels so cool.

And there you have it, that’s what my facial was like at Derma Bright Clinic. I was so impressed with the overall experience and the astounding amount of knowledge my esthetician had on the cosmetology industry. It’s crazy to think about how much effort a clinic goes into to running a successful business, these days you have to be very careful because there are always so many spas popping up.
I have so much more to say and experience with this clinic but this is my first impression and I was definitely pleased with the results. My skin felt amazingly soft and like it was new, it was really like the cliche of a ‘baby’s bottom’. I’m so happy that the facial got rid of all my dead skin and made it so much more healthy. I think I am going to try out the LPG machine next time which is an interesting machine with lipomassage and endermolift.
They also carry a huge assortment of skincare products too, I want to try everything out!
