Because I have colour treated hair, my hair can get quite damaged. Well, little did I know it was so damaged. That’s why I was thrilled to receive my first ever Smart Bond treatment at Suki’s Salon. I wanted to share how they managed to make my hair go from damaged to healthy in 3 easy steps. Continue reading for these hair tricks.
1.Get a SmartBond Treatment
Recently, Suki’s Salon had an event featuring L’Oreal Professionnel’s Smart Bond treatment so I was ecstatic when I was able to try it out. What a Smart Bond treatment is, is it’s a new protective and strengthening service and was specifically designed for hairdressers. It basically protects your hair when it’s getting a colour service such as bleach and hair colour. Your hair becomes softer, shinier and a heck of a lot easier to maintain. There are 3 steps with the Smart Bond treatment, the first 2 being used at the salon and the 3rd to be completed at home.
2. Get Hair Cuts Regularly
This is something I definitely do not do enough of, and I recently had to get 5 inches off because of not being consistent with this. My hairstylist told me that I should be getting regular trims every 3 months, I probably go for a haircut about twice a year. From now on I’m definitely doing this because I would rather get a bit off every month than a chop throughout the year.
3. Use a Hair Mask
I love using hair masks, not only do I know that they’re great for your hair, but I just find it’s a nice (and easy) way to pamper yourself. I do a hair mask about once a month but with the dry summer weather, I’m been upping it to every 2 weeks. I’m currently using the Rene Furterer Paris Solaire Intense Nourishing Repair Mask and it’s amazing. This is the perfect summer mask because it nourishes, restructures and repairs hair sensitized by the sun, the sea or the pool. I love how shiny it makes my hair and it also smells like a tropical vacation too.
Doesn’t it look healthy? Can’t believe how shiny it turned out. A m a z i n g.
Also, the amazing team at Suki’s and Vive put together a great video of my experience getting my hair done. Check it out below.

You have absolutely gorgeous hair!!! I love using hair masks too. Since I don’t wash my curly hair too often, I use masks on each wash day to help put the moisture and nutrients back into my hair. Thank you so much for sharing your tips!

I did not know there was such a thing as a hair mask! This is great news for me, as I spend most of the summer out in the sun. My hair really takes a beating, and besides regular hair cuts I don’t do anything else for it.

This really intrigues me considering the fact I am highly addicted to dying my hair!
