How to Style the Plaid Blazer

There is no doubt that the plaid blazer is one of the hottest trends right now and for good reason too. It’s a nice way to amp up your blazer collection without having to stray too far out of your comfort zone. Continue reading for how I style the trend that’s taken this season by storm.

Because my particular blazer is a little big, I opted to style it with my go-to high waisted jeans from Dynamite. If the blazer was a bit more fitted and shorter, I would have paired it with my mom jeans.

 

Since I really wanted my plaid blazer to be the focal point of my outfit, I chose to style it with neutrals. You can never go wrong with a sleek cream camisole like this one and this one.

Sock booties are also a huge trend this season and I love them. I find them very flattering because of the slim fit. They make your regular ol’ jeans and tee combo look so much more sophisticated. Plus, they do wonders for gals with shorter legs (ahem, me). I love the pair I’m wearing because you can’t go wrong with black and the style was exactly what I was looking for.

The tassel earrings are back and stronger than ever, we saw a huge surge in the summer for them. However with summer gone, don’t put your tassel earrings away just yet. They look gorgeous with a jeans and tee combo as they add an unexpected flair to your look. For the winter, I would style these with a monochrome white look. It’s a daring ensemble since many people still think you shouldn’t wear white after labor day (total myth btw).
