[Style Files] My Lovely Home

So I decided to change things up a bit, after all there are so many other amazing things to talk about aside from fashion (very few though :P) I decided to create a little house & home post. I was inspired as my family is currently building a new home and we are in the process of picking out paint colors, choosing our decor and other such things. We are going for a french-~~country~~ (more chateau-like) style of a home, and the colours associated with that particular style are, butter yellows, creamy whites, robins egg blues, and soft shades of lavender. I adore the colour purple, and my current room is a dark aubergine but for the next house I am debating between some lighter shades of lavender, feel free to express your opinion on what shade I should go with. A cute molding-like frame adorned in a creamy white or a pop of colour gives the room depth, light, beauty and dimension, not too mention the small one is beautiful for a bed-side table.

For the bedroom:

A beautiful black iron mannequin is one of my must-haves in my new room, would make creating ensembles so much easier (and looks pretty too!) A gorgeous bedspread set should be the focal point of your bedroom and be the accent of your chosen wall colour(s).

Sweet vanity table for your favorite collection of perfumes, perfect on your bed-side table.

For the bathroom:

Beautiful robins egg blue hue in the bathroom with marble on the counter-tops and in the shower, tres francais.

For the kitchen:

A curvilinear hood with beautiful arched window and grape vine tile border, a lovely Country French interpretation. (www.houzz.com)

Amazing dream closet, the white is so chic.

For outside:

Breathtaking stone adorned pool, with marble around the edges, something you would find in an old French castle.
