So I recently made a visual project in one of my classes, and this is what I came up with.
I devised a collection for women involved in snowboarding/skiing for Winter 2014.
The mood is conveyed with creation, motivation and inspiration. This is where my brand’s name came into play, ‘Great Escape’ because people want to escape when they are snowboarding.
I wanted to emulate the overall simplicity and sense of
freedom from snowboarding, and when you wear my brand of snowboarding apparel, you
find yourself in a positive sense and you embrace life to its full potential. I
wanted to try something different as previously mentioned, because I don’t
usually focus my attention on the sports apparel side of things in fashion, I wanted to motivate, inspire and attract people into trying new things and escaping out of their comfort zones.
This is like me, as I have escaped out of my own comfort zone, and I believe that you should experience all life has to offer, including what the city you’re living in can. This is what Vancouver is all about, it has everything from the ocean, to mountains, to forestry and beautiful city skylines. Below is a small insight on who I have recently become. And I share this with you all because I want to encourage each and every one of you to follow your heart and to ‘test out the waters’, you might surprise yourself.
Snowboarding is all about carving your own path, and it is a steep learning curve, and so is life.
‘Creating as you ride’ is my slogan, but it is a creating in real affect of creating your own life.
Have a great weekend, and keep on entering in my giveaway, as it ends March 31st and it is going great so far, thank you for all the support!
