Leather and Mesh

This mesh top is also great piece I scored from Aritzia’s Warehouse Sale in Vancouver, so many great staple pieces that can take you from season to season. Like I have said in many prior posts, I am all about the basics – basic tees, pants, skirts, dresses, you name it. I just think there comes a point in your life when you need to declutter, when one declutters their closet, they declutter their life in my opinion. I was reading the best book this week and it was saying how its important to devise a staple piece wardrobe, and if you have an item in your closet that you think you will wear (because it may have cost a lot of $$) but you haven’t in over a year, its okay to take it out of your way. I have so many pieces like this, things that I have bought while on vacation, in spurs of the moment thinking I will it a lot but haven’t worn in over a year. Whats the point? If you get rid of your pieces you no longer wear, you have more room for your classic and versatile items.

It’s like that famous quote, “Getting rid of the old makes room for the new,” and I think its a lesson for life; once you start to put things behind you,  you can make room for exciting, new opportunities. Its always good to declutter your life, and not to mention, who doesn’t want more shoe space in their closet?

Sorry for rambling on, but I just wanted to express with you all how important I think it is to elevate your closet (and life) to see what you can make room for. I think it would make people so much happier.
