A time I like to look back on while being in University is a recent trip I took with my girlfriends to Las Vegas. We decided to embark on this opportunity because we were celebrating a few different milestones, one being my best friend going to study abroad in Switzerland for the semester and the other was celebrating my acceptance into a new program of University. I will always remember this trip as one of the most fun I have ever had, and sharing the experience of being legal in the United States. This was a time when my friends and I came together to celebrate a myriad of exciting opportunities that await us in the future. I think that friendship is a significant aspect to living a happy and fulfilled life, embracing your true friends by opting to go on a trip of a lifetime together is a great experience.
I also think when choosing to go away with your friends is a true test to your friendship, having to help each other out with navigating a new area, demonstrating patience, understanding a capability to put others first whilst maintaining a positive outlook throughout is something I don’t think should be taken too lightly. The reason why we decided to plan this particular trip was because neither of us had ever experienced Las Vegas at the legal age of drinking, we wanted to share these memories together and experience new things. Planning a trip together before being apart for a semester was a great way to spend quality time and establish a meaningful friendship, while we are going to miss one another from different countries, we will always be together in spirit and thats what I believe is the true meaning of friendship and why having a solid squad of friends is a valuable asset.
