I recently had the distinct privilege of staying at The Loden hotel here in Vancouver. What a treat it was. This hotel was rated ‘best hotel in Vancouver’ by Conde Nast Travel and I can definitely see why. The service was impeccable, I’m talking champagne, chocolates & wifi passwords (because blogger problems am I right?) being sent directly up to your room. There was a wonderful valet service, outstanding staff at the front desk who make sure your stay is perfect, amazing amenities (though I didn’t have a chance to check out the gym + spa, I can assure you that it’s a must do if you stay here!) Also the location is prime – if you like the whole being in the centre of the city type of thing, and who doesn’t lets be honest..this is the right hotel. Also they really emphasize the quietness of the hotel and it’s true, I did not hear a peep though my walls and even in the morning the next day, there was complete silence, it’s quite hard for a hotel in the middle of the hustle and bustle to be this serene but somehow The Loden accomplishes it.
Not only is the service outstanding, but the room itself is stunning. If you’re into the whole ocean view, city skyscrapers and yachts than I think this is the hotel for you..with a wide expanse of Vancouver and it’s stunning features the view is impressive, and so is the room. The room was decorated in beautiful black granite, gorgeous modern details and the plushiest of robes to choose from. If you’re wanting to figure out where to dine after checking in to your suite, than don’t worry about having to figure out where the restaurants are in the city because Tableau Bar Bistro is located right within your hotel. This is an amazing restaurant, the service is yet again outstanding, the food is exquisite (I tried the trout and it was so good!) and the overall vibe is true to its name, a happening bistro joint in the heart of the city. Take it from someone who’s been living in Vancouver for almost her entire life, this is one of the best hotels + dining spots to experience. There is even a handy shuttle service that offers free drop offs if you’re in the mood for dancing or exploring on the gorgeous West Coast. (And side note, this hotel takes pets so if you’re wanting to bring your furry friend you can!) Thank you to The Loden for having me.

I love hotels with good service. It makes such a big difference on if I will come back and recommend the place. Love hearing when a hotel is doing it right. We are looking at Vancouver so I am pinning this for later 🙂

Can’t say enough about this place, and everything Betsey wrote and experienced was my experience too. I stayed at The Loden exclusively for 2 & 1/2 months while I produced “Fear The Walking Dead” last year, and they stop at nothing to make sure your stay is comfortable, whether it’s one night, one week, or beyond.
