Even though the weather is quite cold out lately, (at least in Vancouver), I don’t think you should have to sacrifice on style and certainly not your favourite pieces. That’s why I wanted to share a few style tips on how to wear pink velvet pumps in the wintertime. We all know that velvet is having a maj moment right now, and I think when paired right you can definitely pull them off for the colder temps.
First, wear an outfit that has neutral colours in it, you can get away with pink in the winter when you pair it with cooler tones. For instance, I’m wearing my new grey (and seriously favourite coat!) from Chicwish, it’s so warm and even though it’s open, you can bundle up by pairing with sweaters and scarves. I paired my black turtleneck top from Dynamite underneath for a classy but fitted look. I honestly can’t stop wearing this top, it’s comfortable and goes with everything.

For my jeans, I wanted to be a bit more casual but elongate my legs with the heels by pairing it with my favourite high-waisted jeans from Forever 21, what I love about this pair in particular is how short the cuff of the jeans are because I think showing a bit of ankle helps give you a longer look even if you’re on the shorter side (like me!).
If you want a pop of colour, you can get away with it by pairing with a brighter bag, for instance, my Chloe bag worked out perfectly, plus it’s a nice break from carrying around a huge tote.
