How to Style a Suede Patchwork Skirt

I’m all for switching my look up, especially with the warm weather starting to creep in. Enter my suede patchwork skirt that I picked up for a steal of a deal in Vancouver. Keep reading for some of my tips on how to style this out-there piece of clothing.

1. Wear a neutral tee. I like to keep it free of print on the top since my skirt itself is quite a statement. Because I thought this skirt needed a bit more than a plain ole white tee, I chose one that had a fun message on it. I would keep your tee (or tank) neutral to play down the intensity of the skirt’s patches.
2. Edge it up with a jacket. I love my suede jacket from Blank NYC which I got from Nordstrom. I have been wearing it with everything since I got it (which is good because it’s definitely turned out to be quite the investment piece). If you don’t have a suede jacket, you can pair a leather moto jacket with this skirt or even a sleeveless duster coat would be chic too.
3. Keep the accessories neutral. I paired this look with my nude strappy heels because they’re the perfect colour to tone the outfit down and make sure the focus is on the skirt.
