A few weeks ago, I attended the fall beauty preview for London Drugs Beauty at Fairmont Whistler and there were so many goodies I was able to try. Continue reading for the best London Drugs Beauty products to get for fall 2017 and into the new year.
I’ve been a huge fan of Neostrata for quite awhile now, it’s great for my acne prone skin and very gentle on the skin too which I love. What really stood out to me this year was the new Neostrata Hydrating & Plumping Sheet Mask, sheet masks are all the rage right now so what’s better than a reputable skincare brand giving them a go? I also really like the makeup remover that Neostrata makes because it’s super gentle yet effective enough to remove pesky waterproof mascara.
Bioderma is an amazing skincare brand too, they’re actually the first to come out with the Micellar Water which is highly coveted on the market. I love their new Sensibio line which is all about being as gentle as possible on your skin while rebuilding the skin’s hydrolipidic film.
Crabtree & Evelyn was a new product to me, I’ve heard of it before but never had the opportunity to test it out. Needless to say, it’s amazing, all of their products smell delicious and they’re very moisturizing without being too heavy. The Citron & Coriander Body Sorbet is so good.
I’ve been a huge fan of Burt’s Bees for as long as I can remember, their chapsticks have gotten me through so many cold Canadian winters. So I was pretty thrilled when I learned that they were creating makeup products too. Their lipsticks are so cute, the packaging even has a little beehive design. Plus, everything from Burt’s Bees is natural, so win-win.
Another new brand to me this year was the Anthony body care products. They make some cool (and unique) products as the Algae Facial Cleanser, and I also love the colour of it too.
Of course, Rimmel London always has a ton of amazing products and I’m really into their lipsticks this year. I love a matte look and the Stay Matte lipsticks are great, they don’t smudge or move and they have great pigment.
Emani Cosmetics was also a new brand to me (and to London Drugs) and it’s all vegan. I love the fact that they don’t believe in animal testing and their products are great, very soft and smooth on the skin. A-Derma is also a newbie for me and it’s actually the first dermo-cosmetic brand with a natural, plant-based active ingredient that soothes irritated and damaged skin. It also takes care of and protects fragile and delicate skin. I love how soft it makes my skin feel and how it glides on so smoothly.
I love the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink lipstick, I’m all for being adventurous when it comes to makeup and purple is my favourite colour so this is a winner of a lipstick for me. Very statement-making and lasts all day, seriously, super impressed.
Almay makes great go-to products too like their makeup remover wipes and their highlighters, I love how easy they are to apply. Almay has always been one of my favourites.
Annabelle recently came out with their new EyeInk Liners which are amazing, the Neo-Chic collection is so cool. These liners are so much fun to play with, you can even create dots as your liner for something different with their graphic EyeInk Bubble liner.
I also love their highlighters, they give such a soft glow to your skin. So obsessed with highlighters lately.
Revlon always has so much to offer, and this season did not disappoint. I love their mascaras and the Exactity mascara gives so much volume. I also love the Colour Correcting Pen which helps to minimize redness on the skin. Of course, Revlon has the best nail polishes and I’m really into the chrome metals trend this year. Love that Revlon always keeps up on the top trends and steps outside of their comfort zone.
Shiseido is one of my favourite brands, I use their sunscreen daily, it’s very moisturizing. I also love their Power Infusing Concentrate which is an anti-ageing pre-treatment and protects against damage.
Elizabeth Arden is such a beautiful brand, I love their lipsticks because they’re very moisturizing and they are such great quality. The Advanced Ceramide Capsules are amazing, this product is a serum and the capsules actually have triple the anti-ageing power. It’s never too early to start and these capsules feel so soft too, plus they’re pretty to look at.
Covergirl’s Melting Pout is such a gorgeous pop of colour, this lipstick lasts forever too. Covergirl always has some of the best mascaras and the Jewels Eyeshadow Palette is gorgeous for fall. Love the dark hues.
I’m a huge fan of NYX, and I really like their Lingerie Eyeshadow Palette, it’s the perfect combination of neutrals. I also can’t get enough of the NYX Matte Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray, I can’t go a day without using a setting spray and this stuff works, it makes your makeup last all day.
I love that St. Tropez launched their first (and only of its kind) Bronzing Face Sheet Mask. It’s great because you can control the depth of tan you get and it’s also very hydrating with the use of hyaluronic acid.
KISS NY Pro is another one of my favourites. In particular, I like the Halo Strobing Palette, it’s got such gorgeous colours and it’s quite easy to apply. KISS NY Pro also makes great eyelashes, they feel so comfortable and they’re quite thick.
Marcelle is another great brand, I’m currently using their concealer which I love and I was recently introduced to their Revival line. The Revival line is all about anti-ageing and it stimulates the cell renewal along with bringing new life to your skin. These products make my skin feel super soft and I swear brighter too. I also love the packaging with the gold chrome details.
Who doesn’t love to smell like fresh laundry? This scent is from the Clean fragrance line, and it makes you feel super comfortable and fresh. It’s like a warm’s summer day even in the cold winter.
As you guys know, I’m a huge fan of Vichy and I’ve been wanting to try the Mineral 89 Daily Booster for quite some time. Well, it did not disappoint, this face moisturizer combines 15 mineral-rich Thermal Water and Hyaluronic Acid for extra hydration. With the cold weather here, you need to make sure you’re moisturizing a lot and this is the perfect product to aid your skin this season with its hydrating properties. Love this product and the hype build up around this is definitely worth it.
Another favourite from Elizabeth Arden, the White Tea fragrance is beautiful. It really does remind me of sipping some delicious tea and its a warming yet crisp blend, perfect for fall and when you need to immerse yourself in the moment, which we all need now and again.
Lise Watier is another one of my favourites, and they did not disappoint with their Age Control Supreme La Creme Sublime Yeux. This product is a pressed serum which has all the benefits of a serum and a cream all suppressed into one formula. Because it’s a pressed serum, it means it has at least 60% or more of active ingredients. It’s a very thin application and it’s more liquid-y which makes it absorb quickly. The great thing about this serum is it’s not heavy at all even at first when you feel the texture is a bit more jelly-like. I also love the packaging, so chic, and the applicator to apply the serum too.
I’ve been using Revolution for quite a while now (I love their blush palettes, so many beautiful shades). So naturally, I was quite excited when we were given some of their new launches to test out. In particular what stood out to me was the liquid highlighters, which you can use on both your face and body. They’re such gorgeous shades and look great on the skin, you really glow. I also love the new Baking Powder products. It’s a great way to set your foundation and reduce shine while correcting redness and pink undertones. These are very easy to apply and don’t feel heavy on the skin. I’m always so excited to see what Revolution comes out with next and they definitely didn’t disappoint this season.
Avene is another amazing brand, they created the famous Thermal Spring Water Spray which I love (all about those thermal sprays). I tried out the Hydrance line which is all about hydration. What I love is that their products include SPF in them too. Turns out, I recently learned I need to start applying more sunscreen on throughout the day. Why I really love this line is because all of their products have the Avene Thermal Spring Water in them.
I’ve heard nothing but great things about this Lancome Monsieur Big mascara and everything you’ve heard is true. This mascara is amazing, and this comes from someone who has quite short lashes. What I love about this mascara is how it doesn’t flake if you keep adding more throughout the day. (Which you really don’t have to). And I love that the wand really glides your lashes to create that voluminous full effect. This is a definite winner.
I tried out the Silk’n Titan which is an Anti-Aging device which helps to reduce wrinkles and lift facial contours. This device was designed to be used around all areas of the face and neck. It strengthens the collagen and elastin fibers from the inside out. My verdict? I started to notice a difference after using it for the first time. It’s very easy to use so don’t be intimidated by it. I love the fact that you don’t have to go outside of the house to refresh your skin anymore. It’s so handy.
Pro Beauty Tools was also in attendance and I loved trying out the Professional X-Long Curling Wand. This curling wand gives your hair the bounce and salon-quality curls it deserves. The 1″ size is my favourite because it creates tousled, loose curls which is my favourite style. Because this curling wand has the 24-K Gold-plated technology, it releases high even heat up to 430° F. This helps you to achieve long-lasting salon results and 24-hour curl lock. This is a great tool for when you want your curls to last for a few days. The best part? You don’t even have to refresh them. I like to brush my curls out for the second day, spritz some texture spray and away I go.
With the holidays around the corner, lipsticks are so much fun to play with. I find they really change up your look. I love the variety that London Drugs carries. From dark berries to bright reds, metallics and warm neutrals. You’ve got quite the selection to choose from.
Another way I like to update my look for the season is by changing up my nail polish colour every week. Thankfully, London Drugs has all the trendy (and classic colours) to choose from. I love the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel line because it’s just as good as the salon and you don’t have to leave your house. I also am a huge fan of Essie and their new Speed Setter which really helps make your nail polish last while protecting your nails at the same time.
Not only were the brands and the products incredible to try, but staying at the Fairmont Whistler with London Drugs Beauty was the cherry on top of an amazing experience. The Fairmont Whistler is one of my favourite hotels. And Whistler in general (as you guys know) is one of my all-time go-to local destinations.
I know this post was long. But I wanted to ensure I covered my favourites (quite a few) from London Drugs this year. If you have any questions about these products mentioned, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you to London Drugs Beauty for this incredible experience.
What have you guys tried? Any favourite beauty products this season?

I NEED to try every single one of these products listed! I tend to always forget about drugstore brands and how some actually live up just as well as ones found at Sephora. Especially interested in the lipsticks you mentioned. Loved your pics as well!
