The Products Your Hair Needs this Winter

I’m obsessed with finding new hair products every season. So, I wanted to break down some of my favourite products your hair needs this winter.

This blog post is in celebration of the 29th Annual Contessa Awards—the Canadian Hairstylist of the Year Awards happening in Toronto on Sunday, November 12. Basically, it’s the best hairstylists, makeup artists and nail technicians throughout Canada will be crowned at this prestigious awards ceremony. To be honest, it’s like the Oscars of the hair industry.

I’m living for the Moroccan Oil Mending Infusion Oil, which helps seal split ends, something I desperately need. It smells amazing and makes my hair so soft, I never go a day without putting oil on my ends.

I also love the Goldwell Stylesign Just Smooth Smoothing Blow Dry Spray, I’ve been blow drying my hair a lot more lately and with all that heat, your hair can be easily damaged. Thank goodness I have this spray because I won’t feel so guilty about all these heat tools used on my hair.

The Revlon Professional Style Masters heat protector spray is also a godsend, I’ve been using it before straightening or curling my hair. The Wella Professionals Luminous Reflective Oil has been great in my hair too, I’ve noticed it’s been quite dry because of the colder weather so this has been another great winter product.

I always rave about dry shampoo, and it’s really an all year round fave. I love this one from Aveda, it’s a natural product and actually leaves you feeling relaxed because of the 25 pure flower and plant essences in it.

Texturizing sprays are also a thing of beauty, and this one from Biolage is amazing. It’s even got matcha green tea in it, so cool!
