Plaid is all the rage right now, lately seen in the blazer form. However, when I pulled out my plaid pants from a few years ago, I knew I would be able to style them this year again. Don’t you love it when that happens? And, I even got more bang out of my buck because I managed to style them two ways. Continue reading for my style tips.
Every fashion blogger needs their dog creeping on them outside the window while they’re shooting, am I right?
Pairing the plaid plants with a soft sweater is ideal for the chilly winter conditions (I took these when it wasn’t so cold out as it is now). I’m definitely a neutrals kind of gal, but these pants would look gorgeous with a burgundy knit or even marigold. That’s what I love about having a neutral pair of pants to work with.
Both of these looks included my go-to sock booties, and for this look, I paired them overtop the pants. I think it creates more intrigue to the outfit and they definitely elongate my legs.
The second look is probably my favourite. I love a tight turtleneck paired with slim fitting pants. It just look so chic and put together. Not to mention, this outfit would be ideal for the office.
I’ve worn this cozy coat from Bench a few blog posts back here, and I love how much I’ve been wearing it lately. It’s SO warm.
Accessories were my go-to Gucci, some gorgeous round sunglasses from Clearly and my sock booties. But this time, I paired my sock booties in a different way, tucked into the pants.
Don’t be afraid to mix it up this season, after all, fashion is all about taking chances. Lucky for me, I didn’t have to buy these pants, I already had them in my wardrobe, and I’m sure you do too.
