These past few months have been all about skincare. I think it’s because of the cold weather and snowy days we’ve had, there’s just something about trying out new products that make winter so much more bearable. Because of this, I’ve tried so many good products out that I love so I wanted to do a bit of a roundup in time for Spring. Continue reading for the beauty and skincare products you’ll want to get your hands on for the season ahead.
I’ve taken a liking to this haircare brand Noughty Haircare because not only is their branding on point, but they’re vegan too. They also have given my hair some much-needed volume.
I recently got introduced to this brand when I went to an event and really like them. The highlighters are gorgeous and I love how lightweight the foundation is.
This colour is perfect for spring, and I love anything personalized. I’ve always wanted a YSL lipstick and this one is seriously so good. Love the gold branding and the colour has great pigment. Because it’s a matte stain, it lasts for quite awhile. Perfect for wearing when you don’t want to keep applying your lipstick at work (or running from meeting to meeting) Who has time for that?
This was the most beautiful perfume during the winter, but I’m even excited to wear it for spring because of the relaxing scent. Also, the bottle is gorgeous.
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
I live for a good setting spray and this one from Urban Decay is the bomb.com. It really does make your makeup last all day and night and it’s lightweight so it doesn’t make your face feel heavy.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Skin Relief treatment Moisturizer
This moisturizer is the best, I love that it’s specifically targeted for redness and sensitive skin as I have both of those. This moisturizer is very hydrating and really helps calm and soothe your skin. It’s great for when you experience a flare-up of acne.
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
This elixir is amazing for making your skin feel refreshed and woken up. I’ve been a fan of Kiehl’s for a while now. After using this, I’ve noticed my skin is visibly brighter and firm.
Shu Uemura Super Mario Bros Peach’s eye and cheek palette
Okay, not only is this collab so on point and amazing. (Who else is a fan of Super Mario/Princess Peach?) But the palette itself is stunning. I love peach for spring so this is going to be my go-to. Such pretty pigments!
MATRIX Texture Builder Messy Finish Spray
Love a good texture spray! This one by MATRIX is the real deal. It gives your hair a textured (but messy) look which is great for spring. I love wearing loose beach waves and this spray gives my strands some much-needed volume and that ‘bedhead’ look.
I can’t live without a good heat protection product and this one by Biolage is pretty amazing. I love that it’s made with real and wholesome ingredients including coconut milk and meadowfoam. It also smells delicious, very fresh. I apply this before exposing my hair to heat tools, love it.
Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Detox Clay Mask
I use a clay mask once a week and visibly notice a difference in how much less oily it appears. Clay masks are perfect for those with acne-prone skin (me). This one uses the power of two mineral clays to remove both dirt and oil from your skin.
Maybelline New York Total Temptation Shadow + Highlight Palette
This palette is gorgeous, it makes you look super glowy. Once again, it’s a sure winner for springtime. The colours are all my favourite hues and will look gorgeous for both daytime and evening.
Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Power Serum
You can’t go wrong with a good serum. This one by Peter Thomas Roth is actually more powerful than traditional Vitamin C and helps improve both the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I try to use products with Vitamin C as much as I can as it really helps brighten my skin.
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme
I have heard so many amazing reviews on this and I love it. The creme instantly brightens and this also has Vitamin C and has even been collagen-boosted. I definitely notice my eyes are a lot more hydrated which is great coming off of such a long cold winter.
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Hydra-Gel Eye Patches
This is another cult product which has been raved about. My thoughts? Everything you’ve heard is true. These eye patches are a godsend for using after a long day/night. The eye patches help hydrate and even help with under-eye darkness. I love eye patches, and am definitely taking these the next time I have to board a plane. So good!
Kerastase Essential Revitalizing Balm
Both myself and my hair are huge fans of anything Kerastase. I use this balm on both my scalp and hair and my hair instantly feels refreshed and so much softer. I like to use this once a week, highly recommend.
Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Jelly Eye Sheet Mask
Who else can’t get enough of sheet masks? This one has seaweed extract and is made with the intention of targeting your eye area. So good for use after a busy day! Also, this one doesn’t clog pores. Just leave it on for 15 minutes and massage the rest onto your face.
Peter Thomas Roth Skin to Die for No-Filter Mattifying Primer & Complexion Perfector
I’m pretty loyal to my Smashbox primer but this one does match up. What I like about this one is it absorbs any excess oil while reducing the look of pores. It gives you that filtered look but within reason. You can even use it alone without makeup for a natural ‘no-filter’ look. #Goals
NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation
Okay, NARS can do no wrong in my opinion. I love their lipsticks and eye palettes and their foundations are no different. This one in particular doesn’t feel too heavy on my skin and actually lasts for quite the amount of time, hence the longwear name.
I’ve talked a lot about KISS New York Professional products before and they’re definitely one of my favourite drugstore brands. I’m not a huge fan of lip gloss anymore (used it too much in high school) but I love the colour of this Luxe Creamy one. Such a pretty and light nude for spring!
