The 6 Beauty Tools You Have to Try

the-6-beauty-tools-you-have-to-try

I don’t know about you, but I have a major addiction to the beauty tools we’re seeing everywhere. Think, your classic rose quartz roller and ice roller, but now, even more, extra if you can imagine. Continue reading for the 6 beauty tools you have to try.

ROSE QUARTZ ROLLER

I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect or what, but I think this tool really works. Every time I use it, my face and my mind just feel so much lighter. Consequently, this tool is supposed to reduce tension and improve lymphatic drainage, so it’s no surprise that I’m feeling something, hey? I’ve also used my rose quartz roller when I’ve had a major headache and it definitely helped release tension. This roller is super easy to use after you apply your serums, take your roller and roll gently upwards and outwards on your face. This helps release toxins and promotes collagen (which you know I’m all about). Plus, it looks pretty on your counter, so it’s a win-win.

ICE ROLLER

I’ve used my ice roller for over a year and I absolutely love it. I keep it in the freezer so it’s super cold when I use it. Same deal with the rose quartz roller, roll it upwards and outwards on your skin. It really helps to de-puff your skin and reduces bloating. Pro tip? Use it on your eyes when you’re feeling super tired, it will instantly wake you up.

NURSE JAMIE UPLIFT ROLLER

This is the newest roller in my repertoire. Thoughts? I’m loving it so far. This roller is all about contouring and shaping your face and/or body. The Nurse Jamie roller is lined with tourmaline stones which work to promote elasticity. Full disclosure: I’ve always felt that I have a double chin, so I’m aiming to reduce it with this bad boy. Simply roll this tool on your skin in upwards motions. I really like this tool so far, and I’m excited to try out some more of Nurse Jamie’s cult products. So good, guys.

NEUTROGENA LIGHT THERAPY MASK

I’ve already talked about the light therapy tools from Neutrogena before but I thought it was only fitting to include it on this list. If you’re not familiar with light therapy, basically the blue light targets acne-causing bacteria and the red light reduces inflammation. Fun fact? It’s the same technology dermatologists use in-office to clear acne. Check out more info here.

CLARISONIC MIA SMART FIRMING MASSAGE HEAD

I have had my eye on this for so long and was thrilled to finally give it a try. I’ve been using Clarisonic for years, and their technology just keeps on getting better. The massage head works to help contour your face, eliminate fine lines and wrinkles and improves firmness. It’s a keeper, for sure.

PMD MICRODERMABRASION TOOL

I always grab my at-home microdermabrasion tool when I feel my skin needs some love. Lately, I’ve been breaking out more, so I grab my microdermabrasion which helps to soften, smoothe and brighten my skin. I also notice that my skincare products absorb so much better after I’ve used the microdermabrasion tool. An at-home spa day? Yes, please.

And there you have it, a bit of a (longer) roundup, I’ll admit, but I just couldn’t resist sharing some of my all-time favourite beauty products with you.

Love this list! I received a Jade Roller for Christmas (first roller in my collection!) and I am hooked. So, I’m curious, what is your favorite serum? I only ever used a moisturizer so I’m not sure where to start!

Hi, Lisa! Thanks for stopping by and checking this out 🙂 Yay to getting your first roller 🙂 So exciting! I love using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Multi-Vitamin Booster which is very affordable 🙂 On the pricier side, I like Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Vitamin Serum 🙂

I really want the ice roller and the uplift roller! I just purchased a jade roller and love how it helps serums absorb into my skin.

I have a rose quartz roller that I keep in the fridge. I like to use it to relieve tension, cool my face and to help my skincare better absorb into my skin. It’s a really great tool.

Umm.. Can I have everything on this list please? Seriously though, my skin has been so up and down due to hormones since January 2017! Got off BC for the first time in 13 years and got acne for the first time ever.. wahhhhh. Now I’ve been battling cystic acne due to pregnancy and postpartum hormones. A goal of mine for 2019 is to get my skin under control, might use some of these to help!
