With colder days slowly but surely making its way here, I wanted to put together a post all about how to look chic even while bundled up this winter. Continue reading for my no-fail (and no looking frazzled) tips for this winter season.
WARM BUT TAILORED COAT
Start with a warm (keyword here) but tailored winter coat. This one, in particular, is by North Aware. It’s super warm, and I love the cozy faux fur hood. It’s water repellent which is perfect for Raincouver and it’s windproof too. I love how it doesn’t look too bulky on me, it’s got quite a tailored fit and I like how long it is. There are even built-in leather gloves which are perfect. This combo is going to be just right for the season ahead.
CHIC BOOTS
I know all you East Coasters won’t take me seriously with wearing cut-out booties, but because I’m on the West Coast, it doesn’t get that cold here. I think if you pair a heel with a bundled up look, it will make your look more elevated and pulled together.
SLEEK BOTTOMS
Again, leather leggings might not be super practical in colder parts, but we can get away with it here. I love the way these leather leggings look with the black jacket, makes the overall look a bit edgier. You could also pair with skinny or straight leg jeans. Keeping your look sleeker on the bottom will balance things out on top.
What are some of the ways you elevate your look in the winter?

Definitely more of a Fall look when you’re not in the warmer states, but it’s cute. I like the idea of a more tailored coat. 🙂
