The weather is starting to get colder, rainier and darker. This is typically when I start to hibernate for the season. That’s why I wanted to share a few of my must-haves to enjoy a cozy weekend at home this winter for the ultimate cozy day (or night) in.
Cozy Clothes
Put away your jeans and opt for cozy pieces instead. I’m notoriously always cold in the winter and take any excuse to bundle up. That’s why I love my Washed-Terry Champ Sweatshirt and Cropped Waffle-Knit Tee from Altnerative Apparel. They make for great layering pieces, plus they’re super soft and cozy. I’ve actually been looking for a new white waffle-knit as my old one is getting worn out. The Champ is lightweight and is 100% cotton and made from French-Terry which means it has a great gentle texture to it. You can find both these pieces at Bloomingdale’s in-store or online at Bloomingdales.com
Like I said, I love to layer. Enter my new favourite bottoms of the season, the Hanes Ecosmart Sweats. I like that these are from a sustainable manufacturer and in fact, the products are made from 10% recycled polyester from plastic bottles. To layer my already cozy outfit, I love wearing my Hanes Ecosmart Sweatshirt. Like my pants, it’s also made from 50% renewable energy sources. I love how soft and cozy this entire fit is—cozy weekend attire approved.
Warm Beverages
I’m a huge fan of warm beverages, but especially in the winter. That’s why I love anything that you can make into a hot drink. Enter the delicious Prince of Peace Ginger Honey Crystals. This is an instant tea blend which combines raw ginger and sweet honey. Essentially, it’s a delicious ginger tea that can be enjoyed year round. It’s not too sweet, a little bit spicy and perfect for enjoying on a cold, rainy winter day.
Healthy Snacks
With the winter season here, it can unfortunately bring cold and flu season with it. Ginger is one of those amazing healthy ingredients that have a ton of benefits. These Prince of Peace Original Ginger Chews are not only delicious but so healthy. They aren’t too sweet which I’m thankful for because I can’t eat sweets since I have such sensitive teeth. It’s basically getting my candy fix without the sugar hangover. These chews definitely have a spicier kick to them which is perfect, especially if you have a sore throat. Ginger always helps with my dizziness too and my frequent headaches. But, did you know that it’s also really good for the stomach? It’s also a great way to avoid high-calorie snacking.
Core Sore Treatment
Cold sores are something else the winter unfortunately brings along with it. Thankfully, there are answers to this annoying infection. In particular, the Campho-Phenique Cold-Sore Treatment provides effective relief fast. It’s a strong and effective topical analgesic (painkiller) and an antiseptic to help relieve pain and prevent secondary infection—thank goodness. It’s a clear gel which quickly absorbs into the skin to comfortably treat cold sores without showing (again, thank goodness!) There’s always a coupon available on the Campho website, so make sure to grab one before the winter season is over!
Updated Winter Skincare Routine
With the change in seasons, it’s super important to update your skincare for the winter. I don’t know if you’ve kept up on my Instagram, but I’m a huge fan of Image Skincare. In particular, the ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser and ORMEDIC Balancing Gel Polisher are two dynamic duos for the colder season. The ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser helps to hydrate and refresh your skin (hydrating products are key in the winter because the colder weather brings dry skin front and center). This cleanser helps to lather away dirt, makeup and impurities. Additionally, the ORMEDIC Balancing Gel Polisher is a 3-in-1 product with physical, enzymatic and AHA exfoliation. Basically, a triple threat in a bottle. Using a chemical exfoliant like AHA helps to reduce discolouration and break down dead skin cells.
And those are my must-haves for a cozy weekend at home this winter. What are yours? Let me know in the comments below!

Interesting! I’ve never had ginger chews ever. Then again, I only recently started drinking ginger ale so… I think I’ve been missing out.
For sure you need warm drinks to keep you warm during the winter! Great list. I love that you added a change in the skin care – with winter I get so dried out and crack and peel all over. (So not pretty.)
