Summer Fashion: Trends for the Season

Summer is (finally) here which means it’s time for my annual summer fashion roundup. I know this summer is definitely different from COVID. However, it doesn’t mean you still can’t look cute for local (and albeit smaller) gatherings. And, if you’re not in the mood to spend some money, window shopping (or online shopping) is always fun. But if you are in the mood for some shopping, these pieces can be found online so no mask is necessary. Thank gosh for e-commerce, am I right? I’m actually really into the longer length denim shorts these days in case you couldn’t tell on my Instagram feed. They are so versatile and chic at the same time. You can pair so many outfits with them and they’re appropriate to wear around family (lol). I also need to grab this adorable polka dot shirt from Missguided. They have the cutest pieces and great deals right now.

Band tees are great for any season. In particular, I love the fun Rolling Stones one in the image above because the colours are so summery. I’m also into sweat shorts and the set above is the cutest colour for summer. Just because things are starting to open up again, it doesn’t mean you have to put away all your sweat sets from quarantine. Just try to adapt to the season.

I’m not sure if it’s because of quarantine, but I’m really into neutrals right now (okay, when wasn’t I?). As I get older, I find I gravitate towards pieces that are more wearable and versatile. You can’t go wrong with chic neutral pieces, in my opinion. But don’t get me wrong, I still love cute summery floral frocks. Who doesn’t?
