I recently got some facial treatments at Dermapure Vancouver and tried their Skinceuticals Anti-Aging Facial for the first time. In the spirit of the New Year, I am all about self-care and putting my best self forward for the year ahead. What is it?
The Anti-Aging Facial at Dermapure Vancouver is performed with Skinceuticals products. This treatment focuses on deeply hydrating the skin to brighten the complexion and soften fine lines and wrinkles. The facial focuses on anti-aging benefits, helping to improve the skin’s overall appearance and giving you your best glow. This includes a gentle peel (no downtime) and a mechanical exfoliation (scrub) using the best medical-grade SkinCeuticals products customized to your skin’s needs. I was excited to learn that this facial includes Skinceuticals products, one of my favourite medical-grade skincare brands. Another one of my favourite medical-grade skincare brands is Functionalab. The products are effective, and both brands are sold at Dermapure Vancouver.
Does it hurt?
The treatment is pain-free, and your esthetician is with you during the entire treatment to ensure you and your skin are feeling comfortable. During the mechanical exfoliation, the scrub removes the dead skin cells, and the pores are cleansed. This allows the active products (the peel) to be applied afterwards to penetrate and act better on your skin. What I love in particular about this facial is that there is no downtime. Plus, if you need to, you can wear makeup immediately. However, personally, I like to give my skin a few days to breathe and enjoy its facial benefits.
How long does the facial take?
My Skinceuticals Anti-Aging Facial was about 45 minutes. This is great for those busy with meetings and constantly on the go, like myself.
The Clinic
Dermapure Vancouver is a beautiful clinic. The overall aesthetic is stunning, with marble, pops of black and white, and a modern yet relaxing vibe throughout. The staff were kind, knowledgeable and helpful. There are Dermapure clinics across Canada, and I am sure they are all as beautiful as the one in Vancouver.
What were my results?
After walking out of the facial, my skin was instantly more glowy than it had been in quite some time. My skin felt softer and smoother, and my complexion instantly looked brighter. A few days after the treatment, my skin felt and looked smooth and glowing. Plus, my makeup applied so much better.
To obtain the best results, it is typically recommended to get 2-3 treatments every 4 weeks. I recently returned for my second treatment at Dermapure Vancouver and I am just as thrilled, if not more with the results. My skin has never been glowier, and after a long, cold winter plus a stressful stretch of studying, I think it’s just what my skin needed.
I will definitely be back for another facial at Dermapure Vancouver. What I love about this facial in particular, is that my results were immediate and will continue to last.
