Okay, so I may have found the best pair of pants out there, guys. These are not only super comfy but they’re actually quite chic too. I think what I love about them so much is how they really take me outside of my comfort zone because of the big, bold red stripe on the side of the pants. I mean, first off, I never wear red and second off, I don’t really work out that often so track pants aren’t really in my wardrobe. These pants are athletic looking to me but when I saw them I knew I had to have them because I couldn’t wait to style them with a pair of black sleek pointed pumps. Thus, that’s what I did.
I think to really pull this look off for work (and that I did, my friends and they caused quite a stir in the office, hehe) is to pair them with a basic white blouse, a blouse you would normally wear to work anyways because it will help keep the attention on the pants. You don’t want your overall look to be loud, unless that’s your style, then by all means, go for it.
Another tip to rocking this trend is to pick a pair of pants that fit you seamlessly. For instance, I could get away with this style because they’re long enough to look good with sneakers or pumps and the cut of them is sleek but not to fitted. You don’t want to be wearing overly baggy pants because let’s be honest, you’re not off to gym, now are ya? One last thing, I would keep the accessories minimal here too, it’s all about the pants, so I opted for my Daniel Wellington watch and my Coach bag. What are your tips for rocking the athletic trend?
