Who else has been experiencing the winter blahs as of late? Don’t get me wrong, I love being cozy and dressing up with multiple layers, but I am sort of over the constant rain. Thankfully, being in fashion, you’re always thinking about the next season anyway, so it gives you some perspective.

Enter this amazing polka dot blouse. It’s always nice to play with prints and this upcoming spring season, polka dots are all the rage. I love the fabric of this blouse and the almost peplum shape at the bottom. It’s very light, so it’s easy to layer within the winter, but come springtime, it’s going to be perfect.

I can literally already see so many cute spring outfits with this top, including denim shorts of course. I also really love the button detail, so feminine.
Some of my tips for fighting the winter blahs?
Take a look at your spring wardrobe (maybe it’s your favourite pieces from last season) and incorporating them into your wardrobe now. We’re definitely on the verge of transitioning into spring, but not quite there yet. At least in Vancouver anyway.
This kind of brings me back to my recent post all about how to get out of a wardrobe rut, read it here. I find that even though it’s nice to pick up new pieces for the new season, it’s okay to wear what you have from last season too. That’s what makes getting dressed up every day less of a challenge and more of a good time.
I like to pick up pieces I wouldn’t ordinarily wear and style them for different seasons. I always enjoy breathing new life into older pieces again. If you’re not into polka dots, try a different print, florals are coming back into style again, so you can try with those.

How are you fighting the winter blahs? I’d love to know your secrets!
