With Spring almost gone and Summer almost here (insert happy face), I thought it was fitting to put together a blog post all about light jackets for the season ahead. I’m so excited to start wearing more dresses this month, but it does get cooler during the evenings, hence this post being all about jackets.
1. The Classic Leather Jacket
You can’t go wrong with a good leather jacket, and this one has been in my wardrobe for years. You probably even recognize it hehe. What I love about leather jackets is how edgy they make girly dresses look. I love the contrast of a girly, maybe floral dress paired with an edgy leather jacket. The one I’m wearing is the perfect transitional jacket because it’s great during the winter with layers and just the right amount of material for the spring and summer.
2. Suede Moto Jacket
I’ve worn this Suede moto jacket more times than I’d like to admit. But I’m not complaining as it was an investment piece to add to my wardrobe. Even though the colour is dark, you can still get away with it during the warmer months because you can pair lighter pieces underneath. For instance, if you wore a floral frock, you could find complementary colours in the dress which the moto jacket would help bring out. I’m just obsessed with this overall look of a moto jacket because of how rock n’ roll chic it is.
3. The Staple Denim Jacket
You can’t go wrong with a denim jacket in the spring and summer. I love the one I’m wearing in my photos because the cut is just so versatile, it’s not too baggy or small so it looks great with a variety of outfits paired together.
