4 Holiday Hosting Tips for the Busy Millennial

The holidays are such a busy time of year and being that it’s so busy, it’s important to keep it as stress-free as possible. I’ve grown up with the words, “Don’t go anywhere empty-handed,” etched into my brain thanks to my mother. But what to bring can sometimes be a challenge, especially for us busy millennials. Continue reading for my no-fail holiday-hosting tips.

Gift of Wine

This depends on the host, but I personally love receiving a bottle of vino. With so many delectable holiday treats around, you can’t go wrong pairing them with this sweet red Rosso Dolce by Roscato wine. #SweetenUpTheHolidays and spruce things up and tie a classy ribbon around the bottle for a personal touch. If your host is having a dinner party, along with your wine, why not bring something they can make use of in the kitchen? I’m a huge fan of charcuterie boards feat. all the cheeses (vegan for me) so this cheese knife set immediately caught my eye.

Even something special such as pretty towels is always a treat. You can even pick up some classic cocktail napkins to accessorize their bar cart or some new cocktail or wine glasses for their collection.

Keep things Simple

Don’t go overboard and stress yourself out. The holidays are a wonderful time of year and should holidays to the maximum. If you’re coming home late from the office, don’t fret. Simply pick up a bottle of vino (Roscato for me, please), a few kinds of cheese, baguette or crackers, olives, maybe some fruit and nuts and you’re good to go. Remember, less is always more.

Turn Up the Music

‘The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.’ Haha, name that movie. But seriously, though, to get into the spirit of things, pump up the music. There’s nothing more awkward than sitting in silence with someone waiting for other guests to arrive. Make things more comfortable and turn things up. Besides, it’s the perfect excuse to have your Christmas playlist on repeat (Don’t lie, I know you’ve got one, too).

Clean Up as You Go

This applies to my everyday cooking because it makes things so much easier. Therefore, it’s also ideal when hosting get-togethers. Don’t leave everything to the last minute, you will regret it. If the dishwasher is full, start it while you’re hosting, that way you can get started while you have your guests over.

Very useful tips! It can be stressful hosting, and when you actually take a breath you realize it doesn’t take much. These are all lovely touches to ad to a party/gift. Roscato is my all time favorite and I think it’s great around this time of year 🙂

We aren’t hosting in any Christmas parties but we hosted Friendsgiving last month and number one is clean up as you go!! Certainly saved me so much time after all the guests left!
