Summer is all about travel and it’s (finally) the August long weekend. I’m going away for the weekend to visit family and can’t wait to relax and spend time with them. That’s why I wanted to put together a quick (hopefully helpful) little packing guide. Especially, if you’re headed out for the long weekend like me. And also, like me, always fret about what to pack.
Chic Luggage
First of all, having a good set of luggage is key in my opinion. It sets your mind at ease when you have something durable, cute and big enough to carry all of your pieces. I just upgraded my check-in luggage thanks to the chic luggage company, Monos. They believe in a simplistic approach and that less is more. Trust me, I’m trying to adopt this approach too (especially now that I have a new puppy. That’s why I’m always trying to purge and get rid of things I don’t need to make more room for her.
They have adopted the approach that their luggage should speak for itself. That it’s a timeless piece you can hold onto for as long as you can. I think the luggage definitely does speak for itself and it’s a piece I want to bring with me all over the world for years and years to come. I love the shape, the size (it can literally hold everything) and the gorgeous light pink colour.
They have also really paid attention to details with their TSA-approved lock. I love it because it makes me feel so much more comfortable when traveling knowing that my things are safe. I’m a serious fan of this brand, and my check-in luggage has gotten a major upgrade.
Now, for clothes. I always like to pack light-weight pieces in the summer. Of course, a cute straw bag, some chic sandals (obsessed with my Tkees) and of course, a hat for the beach.
You can’t go wrong with packing some beauty essentials. And, I can’t go anywhere without my go-to Marc Jacobs highlighter, Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask and of course, my Pixi toner.
