Last month, I attended the annual LD Beauty event with London Drugs and stayed at the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Whistler. This is my favourite event of the year and total highlight of the season because it’s our chance to preview the latest (and greatest) drugstore beauty products of the season. Continue reading for the best drugstore beauty products to add to your collection.
NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette
This NYX eyeshadow palette is the stuff of dreams. The gorgeous copper-like hues are beautiful for this time of the season. I love that this palette ranges from mattes to satins to shimmers and metallics. I’ve been trying to mix up my eyeshadow palette lately and this one is definitely going to be my new go-to.
Vichy LiftActiv Collagen Specialist
I’ve talked about this product before but I stand by it a year later. If you didn’t catch it, I actually mentioned it in my skincare trends video I worked on with London Drugs last year. I love the soft buttery texture of this product and how moisturizing yet hydrating it is at the same time. Plus, it has peptides in it which are great for anti-aging and helps to stimulate your skin’s own collagen production.
Vichy Mineral 89 Daily Skin Booster with Hyaluronic Acid
This booster has been in my skincare routine for quite some time now (note the half-empty bottle). I wanted to give a shout out to this product because it’s amazing for hydrating your skin. I love that you can’t overuse this product because your skin can never have too much hyaluronic acid.
Vichy Mineral 89 Eyes
Because the Mineral 89 booster was such a hit, Vichy came out with a version, specifically for your eyes. This product has caffeine and the OG ingredient: hyaluronic acid.
Hot Tools Professional One Step Blowout
I’m really impressed with this hair tool. I’m not the best at doing my hair and definitely can’t give myself a professional blowout, but this tool definitely stepped up my game. My hair was styled using this tool in all of the photos in the blog post.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
When I tell you that I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect nude matte lippie, it’s the truth. I’ve been looking for one forever, and Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick is it, people. I picked up the shade ‘Pick Me Up 003’ and it’s such a gorgeous neutral lip for every season. I’m going to be wearing this for the next few years lol.
Biotherm Aqua-Pure Super Concentrate
This concentrate is amazing. Biotherm is one of my favourite skincare brands and they recently came out with concentrates. This one, Aqua-Pure is my favourite because it has salicylic acid which is great for those who have acne-prone skin.
NYX Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray
This setting spray by NYX is a favourite. I love that the specific purpose is to give you dewy skin, my version of skin #goals. I love spritzing this after applying makeup to help it stay and use it to refresh throughout the day.
Essie Nail Polish
Essie is one of my all-time favourite nail polish brands because they make the chicest colours and their polish always lasts. I love these neutral colours (surprise, surprise) called Of Corset (which is actually the gel version which I love) and the regular Essie Ballet Slippers which is the perfect soft pink.
Clarins Plant Gold
This 2-in-1 product is an oil-emulsion moisturizer. Tbh, I’m a sucker for anything that multitasks. This product blends together the perfect balance of treatment oil and a melting lotion. Plant Gold leaves your skin soft, hydrated, nourished and radiant. Count me in.
Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules
I’m already used Elizabeth Arden’s capsules before and I love them. What’s great about them is how much product is in each tiny capsule. The purchase definitely goes a long way because I would only use one capsule morning and night. These new capsules help deliver a daily dose of vitamin c + revitalizing ceramides. This is a dual-action product because vitamin c helps even skin tone (can’t live without my vitamin c infused products) and the ceramides protect against moisture loss. Yes, please.
Neostrata Firming Collagen Booster
Neostrata is another favourite, as I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about multiple times online. This product helps to replenish collagen and helps with sagging skin due to the effects of gravity. I love that this serum is lightweight and gentle enough for my sensitive skin.
Derma – E Hydrating Eye Cream
I love a good eye cream and this one by Derma-E is a good one. This product has both hyaluronic acid and green tea in it so it’s extremely hydrating and helps reduce the look of laugh lines.
Avene Hydrance Aqua-Gel
This product is amazing. I love anything that’s got a gel-like texture because it’s always so hydrating and this one doesn’t disappoint. Because of its aqua-gel texture, it offers a delicate water-like sensation while providing comfort and suppleness.
La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Serum
This is another godsend when it comes to skincare. Because of the dynamic duo of hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5, this product gives your skin hydration + repairs your skin’s moisture barrier. I love that this product is formulated for sensitive skin and it’s also and it helps prevent wrinkles. (Can never start too early).
Burt’s Bees Overnight Intensive Lip Treatment
You guys know I’m already a fan of Burt’s Bees but I really like this overnight treatment. I get such bad dry lips in the winter and this helps to smooth out your lips while preventing the appearance of fine lines. Plus, it’s all-natural, so it’s a win-win in my books.
Bioderma Sebium H2O Cleansing Wipes
I use makeup removing cleansing wipes on the daily but there aren’t so good for the environment. Thankfully, Bioderma (among a few others) recently released its new biodegradable purifying micellar wipes.
Lancome Idole Perfume
Not only is this bottle super aesthetically pleasing, but the scent is too. It’s fresh but floral at the same time and is the world’s thinnest perfume bottle. It looks so beautiful on your vanity and is the perfect fresh yet light scent.
Lise Watier’s Watier Perfume
Another beautiful fragrance to add to your collection. Lise Watier’s Watier perfume is all about being bold. It’s warm florals yet mixed with blood orange, Turkish rose and bourbon vanilla for those major cozy winter vibes we all crave.
I know that was a lot and good job if you made it to the end of this blog post. I wanted to make sure I included all of my favourites from London Drugs this year. As always, if you have any questions about these products mentioned, don’t hesitate to reach out. Again, a huge thank you to London Drugs Beauty for this amazing experience.
