1. Walk Outdoors

Get some exercise for both yourself and your dog and head outdoors. Enjoy that brisk fresh air during the day and remember, it’s a good way to break up your workday. (Don’t forget to pack yourself and your furry friend some water.)

2. Provide Protein

If you’re heading out on a hike or long walk, pack food for your dog. You probably have a few protein-packed granola bars in your backpack for yourself, so don’t forget your pet’s snacks. 3. Play Hide and Seek

We love playing hide and seek with Bella, particularly when it rains. Just because you can’t be outdoors all the time, doesn’t mean you can’t still be active with your dog. When Bella finds us, we reward her with treats (AKA her favourite food). Rachael Ray’s Nutrish Peak food is perfect for dogs of all sizes and life stages. We started to gradually introduce it into Bella’s current dog food over the course of 7-10 days. Then we slowly replaced it with PEAK until it was completely switched over. We even put Rachael Ray’s Peak Wetlands recipe on top of her dry food as a tasty topper! She loved it.

4. Play in the Snow

I can’t express how much Bella loves to play in the snow. Because we can’t always go for walks when it’s snowing due to black ice and the like, I’m happy she’s content to run around and frolick in the snow. Therefore, it’s a good thing because if Bella didn’t like the snow as much, I wouldn’t get the exercise I need either.

    I have two little dogs (a chihuahua and a cheagle) who hate being outdoors during the winter so playing in the snow is definitely out but they love to play hide and seek. We play it indoors hide little nibbles of treats all around for an instant reward when they find it. It’s definitely their favorite game.

    OH MY GOODNESS! She is like a lion! I’ve been begging my husband for a dog but he keeps saying “no babe, we have kids…” buying dog food is so stressful! that’s your baby, you want to make sure you’re giving them high quality food!
