The Ultimate Fall Beauty Must-Haves

I recently attended an event for Smashbox Cosmetics at Shoppers Drug Mart in Burnaby (Kensington Square Plaza, 6508 East Hastings Street). I got a makeover and learned all about the brand’s latest launches. As I am a huge fan of both Smashbox and Shoppers Drug Mart, I couldn’t be more excited to attend. Upon walking into the event, we were instantly greeted by friendly employees at Shoppers Drug Mart inviting us to get a makeover. I came bare faced so I could get all glammed up by the Smashbox ambassadors.

My makeover was incredible—the products that were used were by Smashbox using their latest and greatest. I got to test out the Smashbox Superfan Mascara as well as the 24-Hour Liquid Liner. Both products I was immediately smitten with. It was an incredible experience getting my makeup done by such a passionate team who really knew their stuff.

The entire team at Shoppers Drug Mart is wonderful. If you’re needing some expert advice on all things beauty and skincare, I definitely recommend you stop in and check things out.

I promised you guys some fall beauty must-haves and in my opinion, this is what I think you should pick up for the season ahead.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

I’ve been a diehard fan of this primer for years. It makes your skin look flawless, it really gives you the perfect canvas to apply your makeup. And it seriously makes your makeup last all day. I’m talking no touch ups from morning till night (I don’t often touch up my makeup when I’m out because I hate bringing along my makeup bag lol).

Smashbox Cover Shot A Blaze Eye Palette

I’ve been dying to get my hands on this palette. The colours are gorgeous, think velvety terracottas and rich reds. The colours are perfect for fall, they blend really well and a pop of colour on your lids is so hot (pun intended) right now.

Smashbox Petal Metal Shimmer Drops

Lost that summer glow? Thankfully, there’s an easy fix. Enter Smashbox Petal Metal Shimmer Drops. This product is powderful—it gives you a gorgeous metallic glow with a few simple drops. This isn’t just a highlighter, it can be used as a lip or cheek topper. You can wear it alone or over makeup. (I’m addicted to highlighter, so this is going to be on constant rotation this fall).

Smashbox SuperFan Mascara

I need all the help I can get in the lashes department and this mascara is no joke. What I was immediately drawn to was how big the mascara wand is, this helps it create a fanned-out look, so you don’t miss any lashes. I was very impressed with this mascara, no clumps, super volume (and length) and lift. It’s so good that it even reaches in the corner of your eyes. I’m definitely a (super) fan.

Smashbox 24-Hour Liquid Liner

This is one of my favourite eyeliners. The ultra-fine tip makes it easier to apply, even for those not super confident behind the liner (read: myself). I love how the liner pen gives you the right amount of control and precision. The formula is seriously 24-hour wear, no more having to reapply before girl’s night out or date night.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick

If you’re looking for the perfect rosy blush lippie, listen up. The Be Legendary Lipstick is just right. Not too light but dark enough to show up. I got the colour, Primrose. I’m all about neutrals, but this is a nice pop of colour for the fall. I also love that this lipstick hydrates, there’s nothing worse than a drying lipstick, am I right? This one has shea butter and both Vitamins C and E to help protect your lips come the dry winter season ahead. Protected but pretty, time to pucker up.

Smashbox Always On Lipsticks

Liquid lipsticks are my go-to and these Smashbox Always On Lipsticks last all day. I love that I don’t always have to keep reapplying throughout the day anymore, you can literally eat lunch, grab a cocktail after work all without reapplying. These colours—Always On Metallic Matte in the colour Vino Noir and Always On Liquid Lipstick in the colour Stay Neutral are perfect for the fall. It’s nice to change it up and rock a darker lip, so these are going to be in heavy rotation this season. Plus, they last for 8-hours and have primer oil in so they’re non-drying and non-feathering. Think a spa treatment for your lips, complete with jojoba, apricot and sunflower oil. #YesPlease
