I recently attended an event for Clinique at Shoppers Drug Mart in Burnaby (Kensington Square Plaza, 6508 East Hastings St). I got a facial and a makeover from the lovely ladies at the Clinique beauty counter. As I am a huge fan of both Clinique and Shoppers Drug Mart, I was thrilled to attend. Continue reading for my event recap and for exclusive tips on how to get glowing skin this winter.
I had such a great time at the event (who doesn’t like getting pampered?!) The ladies at this Shopper’s location are knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful! Stop by if you ever have any beauty questions or need a pamper sesh. Also, are you a fan of Smashbox? Check out my latest blog post featuring my fave beauty products from them here.
Clinique has always been a favourite skincare brand of mine, but recently they’ve come out with some stellar beauty products too. Continue reading for the products that will be sure to give you that glow this winter.
Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm
This cleansing balm has been raved about by so many and I was thrilled to finally give it a go. What I love about it is a little goes a long way, so this bad boy is going to last you quite awhile. It’s super soft on the skin and even moisturizing. It’s gentle enough for removing pesky eye makeup and is both non-greasy and non-drying. You have to pick this up, seriously.
Clinique 3-Step System
Great skin comes from within. Before going crazy on the highlighter (trust me, I’m a fan of this too), start with your skincare routine. In particular, the 3-step system, in my opinion, is the way to go. Start out with the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap and gently cleanse your skin. This cleanser is amazing for sensitive skin, the esthetician used it on me as I have sensitive skin and it felt so smooth right after. Next, grab the Clarifying Lotion Twice a Day Exfoliator (yes, this stuff is gentle enough to use more than once a day). Last but not least, use the Clinique Moisturizing Lotion—they make the best moisturizer and I’m a definite fan of this one because of how lightweight it is.
Clinique Hydrating Jelly
This product has also been on my mind since seeing it all over Instagram. The truth? It’s a winner. It provides intense hydration and it’s amazingly lightweight, plus it’s got this great water-jelly texture. I also love that this stuff is oil-free so it doesn’t clog pores or cause breakouts. You can wear it under makeup in the morning or before bed at night.
Clinique Even Better Makeup SPF 15
This is the foundation to pick up this winter if you want a glowy medium-coverage look. I love how lightweight this foundation is and it makes your skin seriously glow, which can be hard to achieve in the winter. Also, it has SPF 15 so you’re good to go even if you do go on a sunny vacation.
Clinique Cheek Pop
This blush is a beauty. Not only is the packaging gorgeous, but the colour is perfect. I like a rosier tone in the winter so I’m definitely going to be using this all season.
Clinique Pop Splash Lip Gloss + Hydration
Finish off your glowy look with some hydrating lipgloss. Keyword: hydrating. Who else’s lips get super chapped in the winter? Not a cute look. Thankfully, this Clinique lippie gives colour and feels amazing on the lips.

I’m suuuuper slack with my skincare because I’m just too lazy, but these products all sound and look so nice I might actually start putting in some more effort to my skin! I’m sure it’d be lovely to feel like I’m being pampered each night in my own bathroom!

Thanks for the recs! Thankfully winter skin problems don’t pop up too often in FL but I do travel a lot in the winter and could definitely use these products to keep my skin in good shape!

These all sound interesting! Sounds like a great event. I usually use all natural products on my skin due to sensitivity issues. Does this system have any perfumes in it?
