Thank you to Neutrogena for partnering with me on this post. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
I’m all about getting the right amount of sleep, but that’s only half the battle. I want to wake up feeling actually rested. Continue reading for 5 bedtime habits to help you feel more relaxed by the time you wake up.

Take Off Your Makeup
I know this should seem obvious, but you would be shocked at how many people skip this step. Leaving your makeup on is a sure way to wake up with breakouts and that is definitely not relaxing. If you’re in a hurry, grab some Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Micellar Cleansing Wipes—they’re efficient and remove your toughest makeup, and are great even if you have sensitive skin.

2. Plan Your Outfit the Night Before
I’ve always done this, and it has made a world of difference. Knowing what you’re going to wear the next day before you go to bed alleviates so much unnecessary morning stress. I want to make sure I’m feeling prepared and confident and that’s hard to accomplish when you’re in a rush, right?
3. Turn the Digital Devices Off
I can’t sleep with constant notifications and texts coming in, so that’s why my phone goes on Airplane Mode every night. It’s been a game-changer.
4. Drink Your Favourite Warm Beverage
There’s just something about cozying up with a warm cup of tea every night that I look forward to so much. This is even better when you’re masking. I love the Neutrogena Hydrogel Masks because they’re super hydrating and my skin always feels baby soft afterward. I alternate between the Hydro Boost Hydrating Hydrogel Mask and the Deep Clean Purifying Hydrogel Mask depending on what my skin needs – sometimes it needs an extra boost of hydration and sometimes it needs to be soothed and refreshed. Masking and tea? Talk about a winning combination.
5. Moisturize
There’s just something about pampering my skin that makes me feel instantly relaxed. No matter how busy I am or how many tasks are on my to-do list, carving out time for my skincare routine is a must. I’m obsessed with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream. I love how it gives my skin the all-day moisture it needs with hyaluronic acid, especially now that the cold temperatures are here.

You have to! They’re seriously SO hydrating!!
I really need to get into a better skincare routine, especially at night. I am so slack with taking my make-up off and it really shows. I’ll have to look into a good moisturiser too!
You’ve gotta try these products, they’re great for everyday use and the makeup wipes take your makeup off so efficiently!
Such great advice. I’ve definitely got to do a better job of turning off my phone at night. My favorite tip is picking out clothes the night before — this has definitely been a gamechanger for me.
I also love moisturizers by Neutrogena. It’s the only brand of lotion I’m willing to use on my face!
It’s a game-changer! and right?! Yes.. such a good brand!
I have always loved Neutrogena
me too!
I always moisturize before bed! So important in the winter time as the air is so dry!
I agree!! It’s so important to moisturize in the winter!
Thanks for the tips. I definitely struggle with waking up rested . So I can definitely relate. Will need to try some of the tips. The phone is the biggest culprit for me getting a lack of sleep.
Thank you! And right?! It’s such a factor!
I like to listen to soothing music before I go to bed. When I wear make-up I make sure to wash it off, I much better when I clean and less worried about not getting a zit the next day.
That’s a great idea! And right?! It’s the worst breaking out!
You are the cutest thing!! And yes – love the tips!
Great tips – I do most of these already but need to get better at turning off my phone sooner!
