Fall is here and with that comes new fall beauty and skincare to try. That’s why I thought it was fitting to put together a blog post on my favourite products of the season. There are so many products & new innovations out there that it can be hard to narrow down which products to try. In this roundup, there are some of my die-hard products I have loved and used for years among some newer (to me, at least) products I’ve recently started to use or hear about. Skincare
Skincare is key to a good (long-lasting) makeup look. I never skip my skincare routine. And because I’ve tried quite a few products over the years, I’ve come to know some favourites. Omorovicza’s Queen of Hungary mist is next level. You can use it before your makeup and after to help set it. I find a good facial mist makes a huge difference. Serums are a vital step in your skincare routine. I’ve been loving Neostratas mattifying serum. It’s formulated for oily skin (which I have) and I find it helps prevent breakouts + reduces the look of pores. Estee Lauder recently relaunched their cult favourite Advanced Night Repair serum and it’s a classic for a reason. Wth it’s latest (and innovative) technology, it even delivers 72 hours of hydration. #YesPlease
Makeup
I love doing my makeup and experimenting with new products. To me, a good set of makeup brushes makes all the difference. I love the Artis Brushes—they are so soft, easy to apply & not to mention gorgeous. Charlotte Tilbury makes some incredible products and I’m obsessed with her Pillow Talk original lipstick. Who isn’t? I just love the neutral colour & it looks great with her matching lip liner. Urban Decay’s eyeshadow palettes are gorgeous. In particular, I love the hues of the heat palette. They are stunning darker shades that are perfect to amp up your fall beauty. I’m a huge highlighter fan. Lately, I’ve been using Stila’s Heaven’s Hue highlighter and I love it. In particular, I’m using the Kitten shade. It’s gorgeous all year round which I like too. A drugstore favourite mascara of mine? L’Oreal’s Lash Paradise—it really lengthens your lashes & gives volume too.

I’ll be honest – I’m always terrified of using peels because I don’t want to find myself unable to go out/wear makeup for a week after because my face is red and peeling! I have such sensitive skin that I just know it would look ridiculous haha. I guess that shouldn’t stop me from at least trying, but I’m a weenie about it. I love your makeup picks here. I have never tried a glycolic peel before, but as I’m 53 and would like for my skin to look it’s best (sigh..I have rosacea and never go without foundation because of it), I wonder if this would help my skin’s appearance any, or would it just make it worse?! Still, I’d be willing to give this peel a try.
