The New Year is all about getting your goals in order and for me, that starts with my diet. I’ve been trying to make a bigger effort to eat healthier this year, and I wanted to share a few of my tried-and-tested favourite healthy recipes.
Breakfast
Breakfast bowls are all the rage right now, and for good reason. Not only are they loaded with healthy ingredients (think avocado, poached eggs, arugula) but they’re quite filling too.
Lunch
2. Healthy and Filling Sandwich
This healthy sandwich substitutes butter for hummus and is loaded with protein so you have the energy to make it to your next meal.
Snack
3. Fresh Homemade Tomato Salsa
Homemade salsa has been a staple in my household for as long as I can remember. This recipe is fresh, a bit spicy and full of tons of nutrients. It makes for a great healthy mid-day snack or can work as a quick and easy dinner option too.
Dinner
This delicious pasta recipe is vegan, gluten-free and delicious. Substitute cream for avocado and you’ve got yourself a (faux) creamy pasta sauce.
This spicy mango salad is all about fresh ingredients and has a bit of a bite.

Oh my gosh, YUM! I’ve been doing so good with my health and fitness this year. I actually crave healthy and fresh food! That homemade tomato salsa is something I would’ve normally never made for myself, but now I NEED it. Lol and I have to try that breakfast bowl. Breakfast is my favorite. 🙂
